Find People Following the Laws of Attraction!

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

Have you ever wondered whether you could find someone who is following the laws of attraction without realising it? Do  you have friends or a family member where life seems to go smoothly for them? Rather than be jealous you could probably ask them how they think or what they do for their life to go well. Learn from their example.

I didn’t have a chance to speak to him but a man walked into an event yesterday and the world seemed to adjust for him. He didn’t look like anyone special but, if you can open your mind to these things and keep your perceptions atuned you can spot people like this.

Here’s how I spotted him:

1. We were at a limited access but free family event at the Easter Show. We came half an hour early to get front row seats and were within the first 20 or so to do the same. Over the next half hour about 500 people filed into the little ampitheatre and all the seats were gone apart from the seats either side of our group where we had temporarily put our stuff while having breakfast. When we finished I organised for everything to be tidied away. Now, up until this point only families of 3 to 5 people had been filing into the seating area so no one was interested in single seats. Within about one minute of me moving the stuff a lone man strolled nonchalantly behind the line of people, asked the lady on the other side of the empty seat whether it was free and sat down calmly, like he expected there to be a free seat there. One minute later the show started.

2. One of the aspects of the event was to divide the crowd of about 600 people into groups of 4 cheering squads so an assistant was chosen to give 4 people a flag. When it came to section 3, our section, with only a cursory glance at the entire group the lady went straight to the lone man and handed him a flag to wave. He, of course, politely offered it to my son but my son gave it back to him knowing that he was the best for it.

3. The MC came out and looked around at the 4 people with flags and went straight to the guy in our section, called him over, had a friendly chat with him, got him to repeat some funny lines to lead into the next section and basically enjoyed talking with this guy. Afterwards the guy sat down and enjoyed the show. I believe he chatted further with people there at the end of the show.

It looked like the guy’s positive nature was affecting the world around him and attracting all the things to him he needed to make his day great! He was definitely an attractor, even if he didn’t know it. Now it’s your turn to do the same for yourself. Go out there, be positive and happy, and expect things to happen for you. It definitely worked for this guy.

Review of The Secret Movie

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

Well, The Secret Book and The Secret Movie completely changed my life so I’m afraid I’m going to have to say this is going to be a very biased review!

The movie explores the universal law that operates whether we know it or not known as the Law of Attraction. The movie goes into some detail as to how you can use the law of attraction to change the world around you. It interviews several people from around the world and they tell all their stories and how their belief and vision have attracted what they need into their lives. I was particularly impressed with Jack Canfield’s story, enough to then go out and buy his book The Success Principles . Having read most of his series ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’ and looking forward to his latest Teacher Tales he was the one that finally won me over. Admittedly I have yet to stick a vision check onto my ceiling but I’ll do that one day.

I thought the video was brilliant for a number of reasons.

1. It is full of self-empowering and complimentary comments. For those people who are feeling a bit depressed it is a feel-good movie. Lots of lines about why YOU are special and how YOU can change things.

2. It doesn’t try to sell you anything. All the information is freely given and there’s enough there for you to go and do it yourself without buying any additional merchandise. On the DVD release version there is an advertisement at the end by Bob Proctor encouraging you to buy merchandise, but that’s the only sell.

3. It’s like a science program on gravity. You learn everything you need to know about gravity but until you drop a ball you can’t completely believe it. The movie gave examples on how you can test the theory of the law of attraction for yourself. Imagining a car parking space where you want it to be or believing someone will buy you a cup of coffee. Simple things like that that you can test yourself. So, of course, I tested them and found the law of attraction to work for me too.

4. The direct to camera cut and swap style of storytelling is not for everyone but I liked it. The stories and music and background images, as well as the fact that many of the speakers gave their own views, in sections, on how things worked, that were well-edited together, meant that it kept my attention. Each section was a revelation for me and kept me wanting more.

The other great thing about the movie is that, unlike other direct to camera interview documentaries, there were copious reenactments and explanatory scenes going on while the speakers talked. This helped reinforce a number of things some of the speakers were saying and also meant the movie did not get boring.

One of the downsides is that, if you were one of the people who went to the cinema to see this movie based on the advertising, you were probably disappointed. Many thought The Secret was a story rather than a group of interviews. I don’t think I’d ever pay money to see a movie at a cinema featuring interviews!

Even so, the fact that the movie contained life changing information made it worthwhile for anyone who decides to follow the 21st century way of viewing the universe. 9/10. Find out more about the DVD release here
